barrister, lawyer
مُحَامٍ \ advocate: a person who speaks in support of sth. or sb. in a court of law. barrister, lawyer: a lawyer who may speak in a court of law. lawyer: sb. who is trained to advise people about the law. solicitor: a lawyer who gives general advice; in Britain he may act for sb. in the lower courts (compared with a barrister, who may act in higher courts).
